Affiliate Marketing for beginners
By Jay Dynasty
The Internet is an association of computer networks with common standards which enable messages to be sent from any host on one network to any host on any other.
90% of the 2 billion internet users utilize the internet cause they are looking for information, entertainment, or would like to buy a physical product without having to go to the store.
Half of the profiting web sites on the internet are entirely driven by an affiliate program. No matter if it is a casino web site, an mp3 download web site, an auction web site or a hardware store web site, there is usually going to be an affiliate program, with some affiliate programs giving huge 70% commissions to the affiliate. The more digital, automatic, self-operating the higher the commission. The more hands-on, physical, etc the lower the commission. This rule extends to larger priced services as well such as mortgages and legal services as well, some of which pay the promoting affiliate by means of lead, (for instance, these types of high priced large stakes businesses will pay their affiliates $5.00 per qualified lead instead of per sale.)
I, personally took off! with the digital, automatic, self-serving, high commission affiliate driven membership sites and I don't need to lift a finger. These sites have simple pricing concept such as a one time fee of $10 to $50 (generally) and as an affiliate you get anywhere from 50% to 75% per sale. We are going to focus mainly on these opportunities in getting you started.
A Vendor” or Web master” makes a ton of money from a bunch of AFFILIATE MARKETERS promoting his product using search engines and posting banners up for him to give them commission.
The Affiliate makes a pile of money from promoting these lucrative web-products after researching Keywords, writing ads, and then posting those ads in classifieds, Search Engines and E-Mail Campaigns, then finding ways to promote the sites they have decided to sell. Once your ads are up and have been adjusted for maximum performance, the affiliate marketer may go play golf for a month straight and make thousands, even millions during the vacation.
It depends on the individual whether or not they want to be an affiliate or a vendor, Me, personally I tend to lean towards being a vendor cause I'm an artist and I love the creative side, Some people are great at writing and connecting with people, so they make GREAT Affiliate Marketers and make millions without EVER making a product.
You can also do both, or find your own balance between the two. Vendors ALSO recommend other products in their ebooks and products and when doing so get a commission, so they are vendors and affiliates.
There are limitless, easy ways to promote these sites, and that is the power in the internet. That is why the internet is a billion dollar industry, made up of affiliates and vendors.
The vendor’s Job is to create a site that converts a browsing internet user into a buyer, resulting in the attraction of more affiliates to sell that product/site and then fulfill the orders so that the customers do not dispute the sale, write bad reviews, flip out, etc.
About two and a half years ago, I got a brand-new broadband internet connection. I began browsing the web, and came across some “work from home” on the internet web sites. And it said in big, bold letters, “make up to 1000 a day doing nothing! I said “WHAT? and sure enough it said “Automate your business and make 1000 a day on the internet.
So I bought it, and it informed me that there is something called “affiliate marketing.” I immediately began making money as an affiliate. At around the same time, I made my first web site, http://www.bestbeatsonline.com and affiliates began selling my product as well.
Affiliate Marketing is much more well known than you think. Everywhere you go on the internet you end up seeing a bright colored banner or even a small game where you click on something to win a free Ipod etc, and the people that are responsible for putting that banner there are “affiliate Marketers as well. The concept is, you join a marketplace, (www.clickbank.com or www.cj.com) then you are given a 5 digit code, and you choose which products to promote. You then take your 5-digit clickbank id/code and put it the url address of the web site/product your are going to sell/promote,(So that the product that you are selling knows it was you that sold it. and then you post that combined link in a place where interested people will click on it and buy something. You, will receive most of the money from that sale, cause these vendor sites/products are in competition with each other for visibility on the marketplace.
In this business, just like any other business, you look for situations where there is a body of people looking for something, but at the same time the affiliate marketers haven’t found it yet. -So if you get on it, you will be the sole recipient of that peticular consumer spending.
Vendors AND affiliates look for these situations and capitalize off it BIG TIME! As a vendor, you can also take an idea from another vendor, and make it better than his, which would beat him on the marketplace, from better conversions, but as an affiliate -you will want to be on the look out for fresh and original opportunities cause when there are not as many affiliates around, the buyers will all go to you!
Also, later I will be telling you all about PPC’s, (Pay Per Clicks) -like Google Adwords, where you pay for your ad to be clicked on when someone does a search on Google, or yahoo etc. That’s why its called “pay per click” with the professional applications.
